She got herself sitting, she looked at him and sighed, "Don't do anything reckless, please Phoenix... no injuries ok?" she frowned and looked back at the way they came, her eyes narrowed slightly as she did this, she shifted slightly and the beast in front of Phoenix growled at her, she gasped and looked at it, "what in the hell...." she touched her sword and the beast growled again, taking a step forward, "well, this isn't good...." she muttered and she moved again and it roared at her, her eyes widened. She tried to stay as still as possible, "why is this beast doing that?" she only moved her eyes to look at Phoenix, this was a very odd thing and she didn't know how to explain it.

He stood there with his right arm outstretched to the side, his sword in his right hand; it too aimed off to the side, the blade still shimmering in the light as he kept it titled vertically if he need strike the beast quickly. He continued to look at the beast as he outstretched his left hand, slowly a small red ball of aura began to form and spin just above his left hands palm; within a few seconds it burst into a medium sized ball of fire, the heat waves causing the air above and around it to distort. "It probably feels threatened by us, we are brandishing our weaponry after all and it's clear that it's job is to protect this place until it's dying breath, it's considering us a threat to whatever it is guarding. It needs to be slain, for I will not leave here without that artifact, it is to be mine!" He said as he thrust his left hand forward, throwing the fireball directly at the beasts face. It hurtled towards the beast at an incredible speed and within a few seconds, the fire ball came into contact with the beasts fur, however the beast managed to move within a split second causing the fireball to graze it's underbelly before striking its back thigh, the fur catching alight slightly. The beast let out another terrifying roar and began to drag its fight front foot against the floor, preparing to charge forward towards phoenix. "I'm going to slay you and claim what is rightfully mine!" He said wit determination and a even darker tone.

She smiled slightly, feeling safe, then made a puddle of water in front of her with her palm above it, the beast halted for a moment, its eyes went to her angrily, she gasped and looked at it, "Its linked to water... huh... argh!" she flew into a tree with her swords up in a X another one of beast had come from behind them and attacked her, she was barely keeping the monster away from her, struggle showed on her face, "Phoenix!!!" she yelled at him, the beast in front of him growled as if to say don't even think about it.

He watched the beasts focus suddenly shift to Reiki and he knew instantly that it wasn't so much her water, but it determined who was the greater threat at each certain point, right now he wasn't preparing to attack, however Reiki was and it knew it.

"It's not your water Reiki, it's determining who is the greater threat and any which point, this is out advantage, I need you to make yourself as bigger target as you can, that will give me the chance to get up behind him and attack." He said to her, knowing the beast would probably not even be able to comprehend their language.

He then quickly snapped his focus over to Reiki and noticed the second beast, but something wasn't right about the second that was attacking Reiki. Where Phoenix had hit the first with his fire ball, he had burnt away the fur and charred the beasts skin and the second was showing the exact same wound. It suddenly snapped in his mind, the beast was projecting a mirror image of itself somehow and using it to create the illusion that it had greater numbers than them.

"Reiki, it's a mirror image, it's not even half as powerful as this one. We need to focus on the first and not the second, if we attack the first in theory the second should disappear." He said to her as he felt a shaking beneath his feet.

He knew exactly what was about to happen, but with split second timing he forced all his weight backwards and kicked his feet off the ground, back flipping backwards to avoid the first beast that had charged towards him. Having missed him by a few inches, the beast couldn't halt it's own momentum and continued to right directly into one of the trees. This caused the base of the tree to snap and the crackling of the wood snapping filled the air, before it fell down to the ground with a loud thud. This was his chance, the beast seemed disorientated and he was using this opportunity to his advantage. He broke into a run towards the beast, in his right hand his sword held out aiming behind him, in his left hand a ball of fire erupted, as he continued to sprint towards the beast, he pulled his left hand contained the fireball onto his katana; with a few sparks flying in the air, he pushed the heat energy of the fireball into the katana, causing the ball to dissipate into thin air. His katana now glowed red hot with the potential to cut through almost any flesh at this point with its great heat. He kicked his feet off the ground once more and flew into the air towards the beast; which was still disorientated. Without holding back he wrapped his hands around the hilt of the sword and pointed it down, as he landed on the beast he drove the entire length of the red hot sword right through it's back with ease. The beast let out a mighty roar that caused the entire forest to bend forwards with the sheer force of the air being pushed forward from it's roar. After that however it's head instantly dropped with a loud thud to the ground, it's entire body lulling now a dead weight and with it supposedly dead, the mirror image attack Reiki dissipated.

Her eyes widened and she dropped her swords into her lap, panting, her head fell forward, she opened her eyes and lifted her head slightly, in the direction which the supposed relic was, she slowly stood up and put her hand on the tree, using it as a support, she looked towards the direction they were headed and frowned.

"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it such...." she muttered, but almost as if she was in a trance. She dropped her swords to the floor and walked to the puddle, putting her feet in it, she closed her eyes and muttered something else, "Blossom falls from the trees and no one can stop it..."

She then gasped and fell to kneeling, panting, she looked around and then back in the direction of where they were heading, "D-Did you just hear that song in the wind?" she looked at him, looking a little worried.

The truth was that there was no wind or song to speak of. This place seemed incredibly quiet, considering the fact how noisy it was earlier when they started fighting.
