A Stranger In The Grasslands Empty
PostSubject: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptyFri Nov 02, 2012 3:19 pm

*It was the late morning of a clear blue skied day, the sun was reaching it's peak point and as it shone down onto the great grasslands below, the small crystal clear dew droplets that dangled from the tips of the tall grass; sparkled like a prism in the light of the sun. As the sun continued to shine down upon the land, a light breeze blew through it, forcing the tall grass not weighed down by the dew droplets which was the majority of the field to move in the direction of the breeze; from high in the sky it would almost look like a wave pattern. Exiting a small forest alone was a figure, the figure resembled that of a young man, his face shadowed by his hood. He wore a light grey leather jacket, that in the slight breeze, wavered in front of his body. Beneath his open leather jacket, his black shirt was easily visible, as was his white tie that contrasted heavily with the black, the same could be said for his white jeans which contrasted with the dull green grass. His hands were deeply entrenched in his pockets as he casually walked into the large plains of grass; his black leather boots made light work of crushing the grass beneath his feet, behind him he left a path of crushed grass. As he continued to walk through the grass, a light squawking could be heard in the skies, above him a large black raven followed the young man, circling every so often as it scanned the ground below. His jaw moved every few seconds as he chewed on a piece of strawberry liquorice, almost looking as if he was savouring every last bite of the sweet. He shifted his shoulders a little as the bow that rested on his back; remaining there securely by it's string over his shoulders, dug into his shoulder a little, he pulled out one of his hands and wrapped it lightly around the string giving it a soft tug to adjust the bow, when he was satisfied his hand sank back into his pocket and he continued walking through the tall grass. His eyes seemed to dart about the lands very quickly, taking every sight as his ears took in every sound, it was obvious he wasn't native to the land.*

PostSubject: Re: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptyFri Nov 02, 2012 3:54 pm

Further into the grasslands. There was a flattened area in the tall grass. It was hard to see what was there as of the tall grass around it. But something was definitely there. It also looked like there had been a fight, a group of ten men lay in the grass all dead, blood showed in a trail on the tall grass towards the area which had something there.

There seemed to be no threat in this area, but one could never be to sure, definitely when ten men lay dead, and something close by.

PostSubject: Re: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptyFri Nov 02, 2012 4:27 pm

*As he made his way through the vast grasslands, a soft sigh of boredom past his lips, he leaned his head back and looked up high into the sky as he continued to walk forward, braving the undisturbed and unknown land ahead of him without gazing upon it. He depended on his left eye for regular viewing, for his right eye was covered by a metal device; a specially crafted telescopic device unique to him and him alone, it allowed for long distance view, but for up close it was almost useless. He would have remained with his left eye to the sky if it hadn't of been for the rather tall grass his body seemed to hit. He halted and slowly brought his eye down, as he did so he got a good look at how tall this grass was, following all the way down till his eye was level. His left eyebrow slowly raised as he looked through the tall strands of grass, they were dense and thick but his sharp eyes managed to see slight shades of a crimson colour. The crimson colour intrigued him and as curiosity got the better of him, he pressed his hands together and wedged them between the grass, the grass being not all that tough, he simply pulled his hands apart, parting the grass and creating a narrow path for him to climb into. Once he had parted the grass and got a foot inside the dense congregation of grass, he pushed the rest of his body through and within a few seconds he had pushed all the way through and into the flattened area. He hadn't noticed the bodies as of yet, as he turned around and looked back through the parting he had made in the tall grass, he could see the great plains outside and it felt like he had entered another world in a way, outside it was breezy and the grass waved in the air, but inside this area there was no breeze nor rustling, it was dead quiet. He brushed the grass off of his shoulders and then turned around, as he looked ahead he saw the dark crimson blood stains splattered over the grass and slowly he looked down to the ground, his left eyebrow raised higher as he saw the bodies. He wasn't put off by them or the bloody mess, in fact a smile slowly spread across his lips before they parted; his lips sticking to one another before snapping back into position. He began to speak and his voice was cool and calm, a slight hint of excitement in it, he had finally found something interesting* Hmph.... well well....seems as though someones been busy *He said as his smile shifted into a sharp grin, he crouched down on his knees and inspected one of the bodies, he wasn't interested in their valuables or petty trinkets, he wasn't a common thief, he was more interested in the nature of their deaths, not because he cared that they had been killed, more he wanted to know how it was done. His sharp left eye began to scan all over the body as he moved it in places to get a better view, taking in every piece of information he could gather and committing it to memory. He wasn't at all worried or fearful of something or someone watching him, if it came to that then he would defend himself, but in all honesty he was hardly impressed, the men didn't look all that powerful or skilled in the first place*

PostSubject: Re: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptyFri Nov 02, 2012 4:35 pm

All the bodies seemed to have been stabbed in the chest with a sword, they also seemed like they had been soaked in water, though no water was present in the area, making it seem someone had the element of water at their disposal. No one was actually watching him and the trail of blood seemed to be getting a little thicker, showing more blood, some one had to be close by, as loosing that much blood was incredibly unhealthy, the trail still ended up going to the flattened area which was still an unseen area.

But something was there and it was definitely alive and injured. This person in question was most probably bleeding to death if they were not able to stop the bleeding.

PostSubject: Re: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptyFri Nov 02, 2012 4:57 pm

*As he rolled one of the bodies onto its back, his left eye snapped and sharply focused on the chest wound the man had sustained, the fingers of his right hand lightly traced over the wound, he determined the wound was caused by an impaling of a sharp and thin weapon, it was a clean wound so it must have been a sword if not something similar, the wound was too deep for a dagger and another such as an axe or spear would have left a much different wound, more pronounced and certainly less clean. After deducting what the man had died of, his eye traveled down his body to check for more wounds, it was there that he caught a glimpse of the damp patch in his clothing and then the soggy ground next to the body out the corner of his eye. He leaned forward a little and pressed his fingers into the grass, they compressed the grass and as he added more pressure, the clear water suddenly thickened with a rust coloured brown, a soft squelching sound emanated from the ground as he felt his fingers press into something soft and thick in consistency. It was softened mud from the water, but the land was barren of water and it hardly rained in these parts. Within seconds his mind snapped to the conclusion, this was the work of a water user, he wasn't phased by his discovery, but now he knew there was another element user, his brain had already began to formulate a strategy should he need it. He continued to look around and his eyes came across the slightly thick trail of blood, his eyebrow raised again as he straightened himself back up after wiping his muddy fingers on the clothing of the corpse next to where he had crouched. As he began to walk towards the trail of blood, he could see it lead into another area, the grass had already been parted to where it lead, so he could only assume that this was in fact the killer of these men. He was still calm and collected as he made his way down the already formed path, following the trail as he did so, now the blood was thickening and from what he could tell; this someone was heavily wounded. He eventually made it to the end of the path and entered the flattened area, his left eye automatically beginning to scan it, he wished to find the owned of the spilt blood*

In the middle of said flattened area, a what looked like young girl lay, face first into the ground, showing she had collapsed, the blood was coming from an incredibly deep wound on her arm, which was still bleeding, around her, lay 10 swords all with blood on them, each one attached the other with a long blood stained blue ribbon on the tip of the hilts.

This girl had blue hair and seemed to be in trouble of loosing her life.

A Stranger In The Grasslands Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptyFri Nov 02, 2012 5:51 pm

*Eventually his scanning eye came across the body of the young girl, at first he thought she was just a corpse, but on very close inspection with his telescopic device over his right eye socket, he could see the minimal movement of her chest rising and crashing but it was faint and he could tell her life was in the balance. Despite having this knowledge he wasn't quick to rush over to her, he casually made his way over to her and crouched down beside her much like he did with the corpse back from where he had come from. His left eye glanced over her weaponry* How odd *He simply said as he followed the blood stained blue ribbon that connected the ten swords together, it was certainly an odd weapon, he at least classified it as one weapon as it was connected and not in separate parts. He eventually turned his attention back to the young girl, his first order of business was to ease her breathing, he could only imagine laying face down on the ground would block out a lot of potential oxygen. Carefully he slipped his hands under her body and slowly he rolled her onto her back, after alleviating her breathing, he checked out her body and it was within seconds he found her wound. He could see the wound she had sustained was a life threatening one, the depth of cut and the high lose of blood indicated to him that whatever weapon had wounded her had cut a vital artery and it was certainly making her lose a substantial amount of blood. He reached for one of the young girls swords, the fingers of his right hand wrapping around the hilt of the weapon, as he did so he held his left hand out palm facing upwards, slowly a strong bright yellow liquid tinged with a red colour from the heat of said liquid pooled into his palm. It caused heat waves in the air above it, distorting the view through it either side if someone were to look through it. He then lifted the weapon, having picked the cleanest one he could, he wiped any remaining blood on the tip onto the girls clothing making sure it was as clean as possible. After doing so, he brought the tip of the blade to hover just over the searingly hot liquid, as he kept it there, the metal of the blade began to heat up causing it to glow a red hot colour; this would have sterilized the blade to keep it from infecting her wound. When he was satisfied that the blade was hot enough he pulled it away from the liquid, within a few seconds the liquid that had once pooled in his palm disappeared seeping into his skin. His hand was now back at normal temperature so he took a good strong grip of the girls arm steadying it, he knew that this would cause a strong sharp pain, the then placed the tip of the blade on her wound and brought it down across the entire length of it, cauterizing the wound and sealing it shut as well as sterilizing it*

The girl stirred and winched in pain, she slowly opened her eyes, they were deep blue. Her face became pain stricken and she looked up at him, she was barely able to keep conscious as her eyes widened, looking at him.

"wh-who are you?" she muttered in agony as he sealed up her wound. Anger showed slightly as she watched him, not really knowing what he was doing. Thinking that it was actually him harming her. She tried to moved but was way to weak to do so.

*He didn't answer her right away, his focus was on her wound and though he hated helping people, he found himself doing it on occasion if the person showed their worth, which she had at least to some degree. He held her arm tighter and kept it steady as he finished cauterizing the wound with the red hot point of the sword, the air filled with the light scent of a slight burning; which of course was her skin where he had cauterized it. He pulled the sword away from her now cauterized wound and he laid it to rest on the ground next to the rest of them, allowing it to cool down. He then turned his attention back to her as he used his telescopic device on his right eye socket to take a very close look at her cauterized wound, it was a little crude as he had had to quicken the cauterization, but all in all she would make a full recovery, at least he expected her too, but then again his medical knowledge wasn't exactly broad. He remained crouched as he let her arm rest on her chest, before he finally answered her question, his voice just as cool and calm as earlier* I'm simply a traveler who came across a wounded young girl *He said keeping his identity concealed being very incognito with her, he may have saved her life because she had proven herself to a degree, but he wasn't about to let his identity slip. As he remained crouched there, he reached his right hand into his leather jacket, dipping it into the left inside pocket, before pulling out a stick of strawberry liquorice, he then simply popped one end into the corner of his mouth and began to chew on it as he looked at her waiting for a response, he didn't expect to have to ask any questions, he had saved her life after all and asking questions would mean showing an interest in her, which currently he didn't have anything of the sort*

She looked at him, slowly sitting up with the help of her good arm. She looked into his eyes, "Although I am not a young as I look..." She looked at him and then looked at the wound, "Thanks for helping me..."

She looked at her sword, picking them and merging them, after wards, she only had two left and she put them on her back, "Do you want me to do anything in return?"

*He had started to become uncomfortable in his crouching position and no longer desire to remain in it, so as she sat up he used the opportunity to stand back up and stretch his legs. The first few fingers of his right hand remained curled around the stick of strawberry liquorice; as he chewed on the end inside his mouth bit by bit, shortening the stick slowly over time. He then looked down at her as she spoke and a slightly smirk turned at one side of his mouth* Hmph...Seems as though everyone keeps at least something concealed about themselves *As he spoke in his calm and cool manner, his speech was slightly hindered by the stick of strawberry liquorice in his mouth, however he still managed to get his words out with some clarity. He then raised his eyebrow at the thank you, he didn't often hear the phrase and it was somewhat alien to him and however much he didn't want to utter his next words, the gentleman inside of him did* You're welcome *He said simply as his fingers wrapped around the stick of liquorice brushed his lips, he had uncurled them and pushed the now severely shortened stick into his mouth, mashing the rest between his molars before he swallowed; a slightly satisfied smile on his face. The back of his right hand run over his mouth to wipe away any saliva; wanting to keep himself presentable at all times, before both of his hands delved deeply back into his leather jacket pockets. His left eye watched intently as she merged her swords together and with a slight curiosity tinged with some interest his left eyebrow raised a little* Interesting *He muttered to himself before his attention was brought back to her from the sound of her voice, his slight smirk was still fixed to his lips* Hmph...Well by saving your life you have become indebted to me, for now we will travel together as it were, you can aid me in my search *He said as he gave her one last look before beginning to walk back into the large grass lands, his boots crushing the grass beneath his feet once more, creating a sort of path for her to follow*

She looked at him, her eyes narrowed slightly, trying to hide the nervous disposition that was leaking out of her more confident one. She showed a slight hint of hesitation before following him, but not down the path in which he was making for her, but almost walking along side him. Her white cloak which had blood stains started seeping with water as she walked, the blood washing out of it, the same was happening with her clothes.

She looked at him slightly, quite intrigued with what he had said, "what are you searching for? It must be important..." She went silent when something crossed her mind, she waited for him to answer as she kept on walking, keeping an eye on her surroundings.

PostSubject: Re: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptySat Nov 03, 2012 7:10 am

*As he continued to walk through the tall grass, crushing more and more grass beneath his feet, his focus was on the land ahead of him. It was a vast amount of tall grass, but just beyond it in the distance, he could see a mountain of some kind with his telescopic device. He raised his right hand up to his telescopic device; on the side of it there were two levers, he outstretched his index finger and curled the rest up into his palm. He then brought his index finger down onto the top lever and pushed it all the way down, there was a fairly quiet click; that would have been easily heard if close enough. He allowed the lever to raised back up before pulling it down again, another click emanated from the device, this had in fact increased the magnification of the scope and now he could see a greater distance ahead than before. He could now see the mountain much clearer and as he scanned around it's base, he came across a dark cavern that caught his attention, the entrance was so dark that he could barely see past the few inches of rock that made the tunnels wall beyond the entrance. Satisfied he knew his next destination, he let his attention slip from the cave and he looked over to her as she spoke. He noticed her clothing was now clean, his left eye however had caught out the droplets of water and he wasn't all that surprised. He looked back up to her face as he continued to walk beside her, his right hand returning to his leather jackets pocket* Hmph...Yes indeed it is...*Before he uttered another word, there was a squawking from high in the sky, it neared closer and closer before a rather abnormally large raven dive bombed down from the skies before flying at a rather high speed between their two body's and continued flying forward towards the mountain; it to had spotted the cavern* You'll have to excuse Abyss, she likes to play around...As I was saying, it is indeed important, I'm searching for artifacts *He failed to mention what for as he didn't place alot of trust in someone he just met, especially one such as herself, she was not simply a young girl*

She looked at the bird, no emotions showed as she did so, but then when he said the word 'Artifacts' She looked at him with even more curiosity, she narrowed her eyes slightly, her mind racing. Her thoughts turned to when she was young, her so called mother had spoken of Artifacts. She didn't pay attention to the world around her and tripped over her own feet and hit the floor, hard. "oww..." she massaged her face slightly and then looked up at the sky.

She slowly stood up and started walking again, acting as if nothing happened, but her cheek was cut and bleeding slightly, she looked at him, "Artifact huh?" She closed her eyes slightly, stopping in her tracks, reliving a memory of her past.

*His focus remained on the cavern as he started wonder if he had finally found one of the locations of the many artifacts, he had been searching for years now with no luck and it was becoming a little tedious. Even if he did find an artifact here, it would be one of many, but it would at least give him a little hope that this search wasn't in vain and wasting his time. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted when he heard thud beside him, he turned around on the ball of one of his heels and he looked down at the girl, he raised his left eyebrow a little in curiosity as to how she had ended up on the floor. As she made a sound of pain, he leaned forward a little to examine her face, however his hands were still deeply entrenched in his pockets, he hadn't planned to give her any aid* You may want to keep your eye out around here, there are many holes dug in the land by the creatures that live here, they are....irritating *He said before he turned back the way he was facing, beginning to walk towards the cavern once more, the sound of crunching filled the air as his boots crushed the grass again. He didn't help her in the slightest because he didn't know this individual very well, she might take offence and think of him as a sexist and so on and so forth and frankly he didn't want to have to baby her, it wasn't his job and he didn't intend to take on the role of babysitter, he had a task to fullfil. As she spoke to him, he turned his head to look over to her, his left eye immediately snapped to the cut on her cheek and he accessed it wasn't anything serious and needed no attention, he continued to walk as she stopped in her tracks begging to speek, his voice getting very slightly quieter as he continued on forward* Yes artifacts, they are shrouded in mystery and the most irritating of things to find, where they are situated is unknown, so it is quite literally a life time task to locate them.

She sighed and looked at him, then looked at the floor, "Lola told me about artifacts... Even a few legends of where a some may be..."

She looked up at the sky, "The Artifacts can vary of what they look like, but one thing is certain, all Artifacts have a slightly different ability..." She kept on looking at the sky, as if looking for something of significance.

His left eyebrow slowly raised as she mentioned she had knowledge about artifacts, he didn't stop and turn to her excitedly to ask her where the locations were and he didn't brand her a liar either, for all he knew however her knowledge could of been flawed. He continued on his path to the cave nestled in the base of the mountain, drawing ever closer as they continued to walk towards it, there was no change in his body language or facial expressions, he still kept the same cool and casual looking expression, he wasn't going to set himself up for disappointment.

As he continued to walk though, he found himself looking over to the young girl, his left silver eye looking over her face carefully inspecting it; watching closely and intently for any facial movement that might give him an idea on how true her words were, he had known her for all of fifteen minutes after all.

"Hphm...And who was this Lola? What was she and who was she associated with? How do you know her information is reliable?" He said with his usual casual and cool demeanor a hint of seriousness in his voice as he continued "I do not protest there may be other artifacts scattered about this world but then again there are a lot of legends, ones that are greatly exaggerated and in most cases they are false claims, nearly every person is as gullible as the next.....quite pathetic really" His last words came with some spite; having found most people in society to be of a pitiful nature "Besides the point, these artifacts I am in search for.....They aren't items of rumor and idle speculation, they are items that belong to the deity....Such items would not have the knowledge of their location scattered about the general populace"

She looked at him, then closed her eyes, "Lola is the women who took me in, she found me a day after my families faction was destroyed... I was a day old..." Her eyes traveled towards the grass before his feet, she took her glove off and put her fingers to the cut on her cheek, she winched a tiny bit, but kept her fingers there. "She was a lone wolf who distanced herself from everyone except me... She was a like a mother to me... She knew a lot about the world and I loved it when she talked about everything... She was the only reason that I started traveling, 5 years ago, my 14th birthday... the day before that, she... she died after telling me the truth about my family and everything else... she mentioned the Artifacts also... She was a traveler when she was younger... she used to search for Artifacts and only found one... which was taken many years ago by the same people who helped her find it... I have to get it back..."

She looked at him, her eyes sparkling slightly with tears then they widened in shock, realizing what he had said, she showed seriousness in her eyes, "Did you say... Deity!? Please tell me... Your looking for the Artifacts of Deity? Let me help you find them, please!" Her eyes showed pleadingly that she was really serious in helping him it also showed that the word Deity tugged at her heart strings also, a tear fell down her face and into her cut. She winched slightly but kept on looking at him, "Please..."

A Stranger In The Grasslands Empty
PostSubject: Re: A Stranger In The Grasslands   A Stranger In The Grasslands EmptySun Nov 04, 2012 8:47 am

He remained quiet for the entire time she spoke to him, continuing to walk in the same direction, his focus still on the mountain, however he was listening intently to her. He yet again expressed no emotions of excitement or any such associated with that, he was sure she was talking about other artifacts, he couldn't comprehend anyone else outside of his cult knowing of them. Once she had finished speaking, he looked over to her and saw her fingers pressed against the cut on her cheek, he saw the cut as nothing but he could see it pained her slightly, he found himself expressing a little too much consideration for her then he would of liked, as he removed his right hand once again from his jacket pocket, moving it up to the top pocket of the packet. He pinched the end of the zipper between his forefinger and thumb and slowly pulled it all the way back till it could go no further, a few of his fingers wriggled inside the pocket and clasped onto a small tin, he pulled it out and then outstretched his hand, holding it out in front of her as they walked beside one another.

"It's a special balm to heal minor wounds, apply only a little however it's rather strong" Once she had taken the small silver tin he placed his arm by his side, waiting to reclaim the tin. In his mind he then went over everything she said, it was cold of him but he didn't want to hear her past stories much less his own. However this woman she mentioned, the looked for "the" artifacts as the girl had put, he had never heard of the woman and he was very sure the cult would have mentioned her had she been set the same task, but he knew such a thing was not true, he was the only one to have been set this task, he believe this girl was misguided. It bemused him even more when she suddenly became serious and pleading when he mentioned the cults deity, she must have been very much misguided and misinterpreting his words.

"I do not believe you and I are on the same page miss, not even the same book...These specific artifacts I have mentioned, there is quite possibly no way that the woman that you speak of was searching for them or even found one. Even if it were possible, I would have known long before you ever would have, not to mention....If this artifact she once had truly was on of my cults deity's then I would not allow you to take it....Furthermore I do not believe the deity you speak of is the same as my deity, she is the deity of my cult and my cult is very secretive if not non existent to everyone outside of it....I do not take on people to travel with me...But since you're so persistent I shall allow you too, you best not be a cumbersome hindrance because I shall not baby you"

She looked at the tin and put the balm over the cut. She stayed quiet as she did so, listening to what he said with some interest. Once she was finished she put the lid back on the tin, "Well, I just want the Artifact to be returned to where it rightful should be... That was what she asked me to do and so I shall do that... If you are not the one who is not to have it, then I will take it from you, if you are the one, then I will will give it to you... without hesitation... I just want to make her wishes reality... Do you understand that?"

She looked at him, putting her glove back on her hand, "I may be clumsy, but I will not get in your way, I promise you that now..." She lifted her hand towards him, the tin in her hand, "I will do my best to help you in anyway that I can... Please believe me in that..." Truth showed in her eyes as she spoke those last words.

As she placed the balm onto the cut she had sustained, his focus once again shifted to the mountain, it was but a few minutes from him now and however much he kept no hope of finding an artifact, in his mind a slight curiosity had begun to settle in his mind. Once again his mind posed him questions (Will there be an artifact here? If so, will he glimpse the deity? Or will he be enveloped in her powers and given something for his determination to complete his task) Whatever he was to find in there, he had a feeling he wouldn't go unchallenged. Eventually he left his thoughts and began to listen to her once more, he smirked a little as she proclaimed she would take the artifact from him if necessary, it wasn't seen as a threat by him, more of an amusing thought that she would take it from him.

"Hmph...Yes I understand that, in some way you're task is not so dissimilar to mine, more the better we have similar tasks, it will aid us in working more efficiently....however if the artifact in question is one that I require, you should understand I will not hesitate in relieving it from you" He the last sentence with a very serious demeanor, he was hardly going to let anyone take away something regardless highly important to himself and the cult. He then outstretched his hand and wrapped his fingers around the tin, placing it back in his top pocket before zipping it back up, his right arm returning to his side, he determined he would need his hand soon enough.

"Good, then I'm sure we will work handsomely together" As he spoke they had finally reached the base of the mountain and the mouth of the cave, he peered inside but could see nothing but for a few feet where the light from outside just about reached; pushing back the darkness. "Seems as though we're in need of some lighting" He raised his right hand his palm facing upwards, slowly in his hand magma began to collect and pool, it was a bright orange mixed with red, heat waves above the pool rippling the air. The magma started to stir and curdle, it then began to form a shape, slowly but surely the shape gained features, long spindly legs stretched out of the liquid and quickly found a footing on the tips of his fingers and thumb. A pair of wings formed and started to buzz quickly, followed by a head and body, the head twitched every so often, eventually the pool had all but gone and what was left in the palm of his hand was a flying insect made of magma, it stood at around seven inches tall and four inches wide. It's wings moved at a very high speed and were almost impossible to keep track of, a resonating buzzing emanating from them as the insect took off, hovering beside him. It emitted a very bright light due to the extremely hot magma it was created from, he then looked to her. "Are you ready to proceed?"

She looked into the darkness, something tugged at her heart as she looked at the floor, "It is not my soul task... But it is important to me to do so, even though she said I don't have to do it... So I will work with you as long as I need to..." Her thoughts turned to her past, the issues she was already fasting in it and sighed. She looked at him, gasping slightly, "Sorry got sidetracked in my thoughts..."

She took a step and walked forward, "Yeah I ready..."

"Well it seems like a mutually beneficial venture, it would certainly bolster my chances of locating one of these troublesome artifacts" He said with a hint of loathing to his voice towards the amount of time he had already heavily invested into completing his life long task, however much he loathed it though his determination outweighed his loathing, he was determined to find the artifacts as they were just as much important to him as they were his cult.

He simply nodded as she apologised thinking nothing of her getting side tracked, he wondered if she would do that often as they worked together, she had already done it a few times. As he himself began to wonder off into his thoughts, he snapped himself out of it and looked to her, nodding as she started walking forward. He followed in suit beside her, the magma creation hovered just above his shoulder before it moved ahead of them a few feet. As it remained ahead of them it continued to emit a bright orange tinted light; the light expanded to around fifteen feet in all directions, pushing back the darkness that dwelled with the cave, keeping whichever area they occupied lit for them to see where they were going.

"A rather odd place for a cave to exist, at the base of a mountain in a large grassland of the great plains, I wonder if it was man made, it surely could not be natural" He said as he continuously scanned the walls of the cave, as he did so he slipped his left hand on front his pocket and moved it up to the wall, lightly pushing his palm against it as he walked along, feeling the indentations in the rock face. "If this was man made, then it would have certainly been made for a purpose, the amount of man hours that must have went into this..." He began to wonder to himself how long exactly it would have taken to excavate this cave, before he continued in his thoughts he decided to relay his finding to his new 'partner' as it were. "Pardon my absent-mindedness, you see, if you place your skin against the rock face of the wall, you can feel many indentations from where the rock has chipped and it could have only chipped from a strong blunt force, which could of course have come from a pick axe....If someone were any kind of elemental powers had excavated this cave, then the rock would be alot smoother if not completely, even a machine would leave smoother indentations....Whatever dwells in this cave, it was put here by man, I'm most certain of it" He said with assurance as he pulled his left hand back into his pocket, looking at the space ahead where his magma creation lit.

She smiled slightly, "You do not have to apologize... I am always being like that... and yes I believe this cave was created by man..." She put her hand on the wall and gasped, freezing to the spot, she showed shock and disbelief in what ever her findings were of this wall.

He nodded in gratitude before nodding once more as she agreed with his words. As he continued to walk through the cave with her, he raised his right hand up to his telescopic device, pressing his index finger down on the top lever to bring the magnification back down to it's normal setting; there was no need for him to keep it so highly magnified, however having had the eyepiece over his right eye socket for years now he had gotten used to only viewing normally through his left eye. He then reached his right hand into his leather jacket, pushing his fingers into his left hand side inner pocket, retrieving another stick of strawberry liquorice, bring the stick up to his slightly parted lips, he pushed one end into his mouth and began to chew on it; like he had the other one earlier. It was at that point he had heard her gasped and he slowly came to a halt and looked to the side at her, he raised his eyebrow a little but continued to chew on the stick of liquorice.

"Is something the matter?" He said very neutrally in his usual calm and cool voice, he wasn't very much sure what could have been wrong with her. Perhaps she had sustained injuries to her internal organs during the fight; something he would have been unable to identify or she could of been having an allergic reaction to the balm. Instead of continuing to keep to his idle speculation he simply looked at her and waited for an answer to his question, it seemed like the correct course of action.
